Excited to visit Stonehenge

I’m really excited for July. The flash fiction festival is back in person, in Bristol, and I will be going. It was a wonderful weekend last time, in person, and I’m sure it will be again. The zoom events were great, but it wasn’t the same.

This time, I’ve decided to stay in Bristol a bit longer. Partly because it was a bit pushed for time last time, and also because I can afford it now. I found a nice Airbnb to stay in, since the tickets with accommodation included went faster than light. And with the extra day, I had an idea.

Last time, I wanted to visit Stonehenge, as it was the solstice weekend. Its somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. Its somewhere that captivates me, enthralls me, enchants me. It just looks majestic, magical, ethereal, wonderful. Perhaps its the Celtic and Norse Mythology that calls me to it, something in my heart and soul that yearns to be there, to walk amongst those eternal stones.

I looked it up, and found it wasn’t far from Bristol. A train, and a bus. The tickets weren’t too expensive, and to my delight, came with an audio description feature, an app that describes the stones and their history while you walk round. I was even more excited, when I saw that. Normally, in museums or historical sites like this, its a struggle to read signs, and I get frustrated, or have to have my boyfriend read it out to me.

So I booked it. It was one of the best late night, coffee fuelled purchases I’ve ever made. And I’m so excited, to go. I can’t wait.

  1. Great blog here! Also your site quite a bit up fast! What host are you the use of? Can I get your associate link for your host? I want my website loaded up as quickly as yours lol

  2. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all. However think about if you added some great graphics or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this website could undeniably be one of the best in its field. Excellent blog!

  3. I do have images on other posts, just not this one, with alt text descriptions. I’m better at writing than videos to be honest.

  4. I am not sure where you are getting your info, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more. Thanks for fantastic information I was looking for this information for my mission.

  5. Enjoyed examining this, very good stuff, thankyou. “It is in justice that the ordering of society is centered.” by Aristotle.

  6. My brother suggested I might like this website. He was entirely right. This post truly made my day. You cann’t imagine just how much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
